The Deliverables
The most important outcome of a successful event/Discovery is the Audio recording. While it may not be immediately required per se, it is the permanent record of the event/proceedings and is held securely for ten years by the Court Recording Company.

For immediate requirements:

The list of Undertakings and Exhibits (if any) will be forwarded to both plaintiff and defendant counsel, accompanied by the Court Recording Service Invoice. A customer satisfaction survey will also be sent post Discovery/event.

Any Spell Lists or Court Reporters Notes (for future transcription use if called upon) are also held by the Court Recording Company.
Transcription Services
If required, Transcription Services can be requested within the 10 Year period of repository. If requested, please indicate:

-
Type of transcript (Verbatim, Appeal format, Trial ready etc.)
-
When required ... a typical request will provide for a 4-5 week lead time
-
Urgent Requests can be addressed on an as available best efforts basis
-
Please indicate the medium for the deliverable (paper, MS-word or PDF formats, CD, or other)
-
Fees are based on a combination of all of the above elements

The Event / Discovery
-
If in-house, the Court Reporter (CR) sets up their state of the art recording equipment, ensuring all client facing items (Microphone/cables) have been sanitized

-
If via ZOOM/ Virtual Discovery, the CR will have sent out the day before an invitation with "link to join" information - making it a one click easy to use process for participants to enter.

-
Once all participants are in place, the CR asks if everyone is ready to proceed and affirms the witness.
-
While the interview is underway the CR is silent, carefully observing the proceedings, taking notes, undertaking requests, Exhibit handling (as necessary), verifying difficult spellings or names or terms at breaks/conclusion - necessary for a cleaner transcript (as required)
-
Upon conclusion sanitizes the equipment as it is being packed away.
